David Taylor has been working on cars for most of his life.  He entered the business professionally right after high school in 1978. In 1983, David opened Taylor Automotive and has helped grow the business from a 3 bay shop to a full service 12 bay shop just minutes from downtown Sanford.
In 2005, David was named the ASE Master Technician of the year.  David has advanced his specialties to include Hybrid and Electric vehicle serice and development.  In July of 2010, David won a national competition for fuel mileage with his 2008 Toyota Prius.  His winning mileage was 763 mpg!





Rita Taylor, married to Taylor Automotive since 1984.    Takes care of all the accounting, marketing and works the service counter.

 

Tom Mackenzie is an ASE certified Master Technician with 35 years of experience plus time spent as a technical trouble shooter for Chrysler Corporation.  Tom has become our primary Hybrid Technician, having extensive experience in the diagnostics and repair of Hybrid Vehicles.
Tom lives in Sanford with his wife and enjoys his farm animals and golf in his time off.

 
Juan Cruz Joined Taylor Automotive in June of 2000 and serves as our Customer Satisfaction Representative.  Juan checks over vehicles before they leave the shop to make sure all issues have been addressed. Juan lives in Sanford with his wife and 3 children and enjoys cooking during his time off.

Greg Bartasek is a native of Virginia and move to NC in 2005 with the US Army. Greg has 3 years of automotive experience and enjoys riding four wheelers and spending time with his wife and daughter while away from work.

Daly is our hybrid battery technician and is currently working part time while attending college.
